Which oral health experts are most trusted?

In an effort to help you determine which oral health professionals are most trustworthy, we surveyed a group of oral health industry professionals and researchers who have studied the oral health profession for years.

These experts, who include the CEO of the Oral Health Foundation, an independent group that supports and promotes oral health, and the CEO and CEO of Oral Health Associates, an industry association, were also asked to provide an opinion on their personal and professional lives and attitudes about oral health.

Dr. David J. Cohen, Director, Oral Health Association SOURCE: The Oral Health Associations, Oral Health Foundation press release 2016 February 12, 8:01pmET MEDIA ADVISORY: A new survey of oral healthcare professionals conducted by The Oral Health Assn.

(OHA) and the Oral Healthcare Foundation (OHF) finds that there is a broad agreement among the profession on the importance of the oral hygiene and nutrition (oHNS) practice and the importance and importance of maintaining oral hygiene practices. 

The survey found that the highest level of trust was found in the community-based oral health clinics and public health agencies, while the lowest level of confidence was found among the private and government sector professionals who work in these fields. 

“This survey has confirmed what we have long suspected: that people are in agreement that the oral healthcare profession is not only a valuable part of their profession but a powerful asset to their communities,” said Dr. David Cohen, executive director of the OHA and the OHF.

Mary Ann Marotta, Vice President, Oral Healthcare Association REPORTER: Dr Marotta  The oral health association is an independent organization representing all of the major stakeholders in the oral care and nutrition industry. 

Marotta, who joined the association in 2015, has been in the profession for nearly 35 years and has served on the Board of Directors of the American College of Oral Surgeons since 1997. 

She is also a former President of the National Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
